 What to expect

A steroid injection is a treatment that is typically used when hands on treatment or exercise therapies have not helped your condition yet.

Usually diagnostic imaging ultrasound scans, x-rays or MRIs are used to confirm your diagnosis. This is done before your steroid injection appointment.

During your first visit to make sure you’re getting the right treatment, Jonathan will talk through your detailed medical history and assess your problem. Once Jonathan is happy that you are in the right place, he will talk you through how the procedure works before performing it.

Included in Steroid injection session:

  • Explanation of your diagnosis/condition
  • Explanation of how the treatment works and what to expect
  • Corticosteroid injection delivered under ultrasound guidance for total accuracy
